Australian Hardwood Quality Guarantee
We meet all Australian Forestry Guidelines and all Timber Supplies Compliance
Timber is a natural product and is affected by its environment. To ensure the health of your timber and the longevity of your floors, we take moisture readings to determine the optimum acclimatisation period it needs and the number of expansion gaps needed to ensure the best possible lay and an optimum lifetime finish.
We prefer to use Australian hardwoods as they are the superior option for multi-purpose sports floors because they look great and rank higher on the Janka* Hardness Test.

Australian Hardwood Profile
All of our timber comes in a flooring profile which maximises the life of the floor as the tongue and groove is offset meaning the floor can be re-sanded more times before it needs to be replaced while also giving a bigger area for nailing the floorboards which makes it stronger.

Australian Hardwood Profile
All of our timber comes in a flooring profile which maximises the life of the floor as the tongue and groove is offset which means that your floor can be re-sanded more times before it needs to be replaced. It also has the benefit of giving a larger area for nailing the floorboards down, meaning a stronger floor with less breaks.

OUR
DEFINING
EDGE

Avoid Expansion and
Contraction problems
As timber is a natural product, it behaves different in different climates meaning it is vital, for the life and longevity of your floor, to be aware of the causes of expansion and contraction and how to avoid them.
The major causes are:
• Improper sub-flooring construction
• Excessive moisture
• Insufficient space allowed around the perimeter of the floor
• Improper maintenance of the building and floor
• Poor ventilation especially in humid weather
• Excessive water on or under the floor
• Excessive heat from skylights, windows and heating systems
